In the beginning: Born in Boston, raised in Hollywood, California. I played five years with Felix and the Katz (a well-known L.A. Latin New Wave Band in the 80`s with regional success). We played the LA Scene a lot and toured with Gang of Four, Lords of the New Church, and Bad Manners, among others as an opening act on their West Coast tours. I also collaborated and played with the band Commuter after placing the song, “Young Hearts” in the first Karate Kid Movie (1984). Then, in 1987 I was invited to play with the “already-famous” Mexican Rock Band, Ritmo Peligroso.

I recorded the highly acclaimed record, Dejala Tranquila (1988), which has sold more than half a million copies over the years. We toured and opened for bands like Santana, GIT, Charlie Garcia, El Tri, Los Caifanes, Café Tacuba, Botellita de Jerez, Kenny y los Electricos, and Rostros Ocultos, among others all over Mexico, Latin America, and the U.S. We opened the door for many of the Mexican bands that are well known today. I later co-produced and recorded Cortes Finos (1998) and Matacandela (2003) with the band, two great records with great songs. I co-wrote and co-produced the title song from the movie, “A Day Without A Mexican”, directed by Sergio Arau and distributed worldwide in 2005. The band is still together and we still play big concerts when the timing is right.

Now: I also write songs for other bands, solo artists, and major companies (motivational and inspirational music) and I’ve been doing jingles for TV and Radio, in Spanish and English, here in Mexico and in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. I write and produce a lot of stuff with my musical partner, Lili Barreto. Together, we have written and recorded more than 80 songs. I do everything from Rock to Pop, from New Age/Easy Listening to Hip-Hop, and even classical music and music for kids. Check it out on our page!
